🚀 FX Live Trade Vol. 17: 【Disappointing Stop-Loss】The Heavy Ceiling at 161 JPY and Our Disciplined Exit

Hi everyone! I would like to share the results of our 17th "FX Live Trade" session.

To get straight to the point, our short (sell) strategy unfortunately resulted in a failure this time, forcing us to close the position for a loss.

We targeted a trend reversal (the market ceiling) at the ultra-high price level of 161.463 JPY. However, the relentless upward momentum of USD/JPY refused to back down, moving directly against our expectations. It was a highly challenging battle, especially with the burden of the negative swap (interest rate rollover fees) weighing on us daily as anticipated during entry, and the market ultimately hit our stop-loss level without reversing.

While suffering two consecutive losses is highly frustrating, accepting individual losses without emotion is an essential part of algorithmic trading. We will calmly analyze the data from this trade to refine our system—such as tightening our entry filters for short positions—and apply these insights to our next session!
